Elective and Volunteer

Introduction

Each year, Thai Travel Clinic receives requests from medical students, doctors, residents, and research volunteers from around the world who wish to join our team. Our elective opportunity is designed to provide additional clinical exposure in Travel Medicine and Tropical Medicine through supervised participation in travel clinic and hospital activities, including OPD sessions, ward rounds, seminars, and conferences.

We aim to offer a learning experience that is practical, structured, and academically meaningful. Whether you are seeking short-term clinical exposure, a broader understanding of tropical medicine, or an opportunity to learn in an international environment, this page will help you explore the available pathways. However, please noted that we cannot accommodate all requests.

Previous elective activities

Each year, Thai Travel Clinic welcomes approximately 40–50 elective students and visiting trainees from Thailand and around the world. During their elective period, participants gain practical exposure to travel medicine and tropical medicine, including observing outpatient consultations, joining ward rounds, participating in case discussions, and attending academic seminars.

These experiences allow visitors to better understand real-world clinical practice in tropical and travel medicine, while interacting with our faculty members, residents, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Here are some photos from previous elective activities at our clinic.
